Helen Gladders, Producer

Helen is a graduate of the National Film and Television School MA Producing for Film & Television course and has produced several award winning short films. She is an alumni of the JBA awards, EIFF Talent Lab, Network @ LFF and was selected as a Screen ‘Star of Tomorrow’ in 2022.

Through her company Gingerbread Pictures, she works with exciting emerging Female and Global majority filmmakers, and has a varied slate of feature projects in development. The company was a recipient of the BBC Small Indie Fund in 2024. 

Her passion lies in combining emotionally resonant stories and complex characters with elevated genre elements to reach a broader, international audience. She is also interested in exploring stories of international diasporas and interracial identity which chime with her own British-Indian heritage.

Her first feature film Tuesday was written and directed by Daina O. Pusic, stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Lola Petticrew and was backed by A24, BBC Films, BFI, and Cinereach.  The film premiered at Telluride Film Festival in September 2023 and London Film Festival in October 2023. It was released Theatrically in the US in June 2024 and UK in August 2024.

Future projects include Jessica & Henrietta Ashworth ’s directorial debut feature “The Change”, Astrid Thorvaldsen’s horror debut feature “Whistler” written by Will Gillies, Morayo Akandé’s Tokyo set comedy horror “Konbini Zombies”, Zoe Alker’s Cornish-set drama “Pull up the Roots” and many more in development!
